Borsa di post-dottorato - Università di Cambridge

Il dipartimento di scienze materiali e metallurgia dell'Università di Cambridge eroga una borsa di post-dottorato per promuovere la ricerca in merito a "GaN-based materials and light-emitting structures".

Il candidato/a deve avere esperienza di ricerca nel campo dei semi conduttori, diffrazione dei raggi X ecc. Il candidato/a dovrà lavorare sia in maniera autonoma che in gruppo.

Il lavoro di ricerca dovrà iniziare entro il 20 agosto 2012.

This post doctoral position is funded by the EU. The project involves the growth and characterisation of AlGaInN materials on semi-polar templates for yellow emission in solid-state lighting applications, in collaboration with other universities and industries. The PDRA will grow GaN-based structures on Si and on sapphire substrates. The person appointed should have expertise in the MOVPE growth of semiconductors. Previous experience of GaN growth would be an advantage, but is not essential. The Department has an Aixtron close-coupled showerhead MOVPE reactor and a second reactor is being installed. The person appointed should be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Expertise in X-ray diffraction, AFM, etc, would be an advantage.

La borsa, finanziata dall'Ue, avrà un valore compreso tra £27,578 - £35,938.
