ERC-2012-SyG-Synergy Grant

Invito a presentare proposte nell'ambito di lavoro Idee del 7 Programma Quadro per supportare la ricerca degli Individual Principal Investigators (PIs).

L'invito si propone di sostenere le attività di ricerca condotte da gruppi di ricercatori negli Stati membri e nei Paesi associati. L'obiettivo è incoraggiare nuovi metodi e tecniche al fine di raggiungere la risoluzione dei principali problemi di ricerca, che il singolo ricercatore non riuscirebbe a superare da solo.

L'invito interessa qualsiasi campo della ricerca, che possa avere un forte impatto innovativo nel campo della conoscenza.

Possono aderire all'invito i ricercatori di qualsiasi età e nazionalità.

Le risorse stanziate ammontano a 150.000.000 euro.

European Research Council ERC Synergy Grants will enable small groups of Principal Investigators and their teams bringing together complementary skills, knowledge, and resources, to jointly address research problems at the frontier of knowledge going beyond what the individual Principal Investigators could achieve alone.

At least one independent legal entity established in one of the Member States, or one of the associated countries (in the case of the participation of more than one legal entity the participants are not obliged to establish a consortium agreement).

Groups applying for ERC Synergy Grants should be made up of a minimum of two and a maximum of four Principal Investigators and, as necessary, their teams. One of the Principal Investigators must be designated as the Lead Principal Investigator.

Il contributo comunitario ammonta al 100% delle spese ammissibili. Il contributo massimo ammonta a 15.000.000 euro per un periodo di sei anni.

The Union financial contribution will take the form of the reimbursement of up to 100% of the total eligible and approved direct costs and of flat-rate financing of indirect costs on the basis of 20% of the total eligible direct costs4. The level of the awarded grant represents a maximum overall figure – the final amount to be paid must be justified on the basis of the costs actually incurred for the project.

As indicated in the ERC Work Programme 2012 – section 6.3, the grant can be up to a
maximum of EUR 15 000 000 for a period of up to six years (pro rata for projects of shorter
duration).

Le domande devono essere presentate entro le ore 17.00 (ora locale di Buxelles) del 25 gennaio 2012.

Le domande saranno valutate mediante due evaluation panels a cui parteciperanno 60 membri selezionati dal Consiglio scientifico dell'ERC.

The evaluation will be conducted by means of dedicated high level peer review panels. Panels will be assisted by independent experts as necessary6. Principal Investigators whose proposals will be retained for the second step of the evaluation may be invited for an interview to present their project to the evaluation panel meeting in Brussels.
