EU: MySocialRights contest

The European Commission’s Directorate General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion invites you to participate in the #MySocialRights contest, a photo competition for young people across Europe.
The topic of the competition is "How I perceive social rights in Europe". Participants can get inspiration from the principles of the European Pillar of Social Rights (by picking one or more principles).
The competition is open for people between the ages of 18 and 30 living in the EU and willing to express their view about their social rights and reflect on pressing social issues.
Entries must be original works. Up to 3 submissions per person are allowed; all entries must be submitted via Woobox. Entries that are offensive, defamatory or obscene, or that disclose unnecessary personal information will be rejected from the competition.
All entries must be an original work and the participant must either be the sole owner or the transferee of the copyright. By entering the competition, participants retain full copyright of their images.
The three main winners are going to have the chance to attend the European Youth Event in Strasbourg on the 1-2 June 2018 where they will have the possibility to meet young people from all over Europe.
The main prize for the winners is an Interrail ticket for two people to discover Europe (A voucher accommodation help to be discussed). The 15 best photos will be exposed at the Commission's exhibition at the European Youth Event 2018 and your talent will have an outstanding visibility in the event which gathers around 8000 people. There are also 30 small prizes and 12 medium prizes you can win! Prizes can under no circumstances be substituted or redeemed in cash.
The competition takes place until 1 May 2018 midnight CET.
Pictures will be handed-over to jury who will select the winning entries (15 best pictures, of which 3 main winners).
The winners will be selected by jury which will be made up of 1 young photography student or young teacher (below 30) from photo or art schools in Strasbourg, 1 representative of the Commission and 1 representative of the European Youth Forum. Only the winners will be contacted and the winning entries will be exposed at the exhibition. The winners will be asked to provide proof of identity. The organiser’s decision regarding the selection of the winner is final and irrevocable.
