Economic Forum - Krynica, the 27th edition has begun
The 27th Economic Forum in Krynica Zdrój has been inaugurated by a plenary session about the future of European integration.

The Economic Forum in Krynica is the largest conference in Central and Eastern Europe. Every year the Forum, organized at the beginning of September, brings more than 3000 guests. These are political, economic and social leaders as well as about 500 journalists. The guests come from over 60 countries in Europe, Asia and America.
Economic Forum: 25 years of debates
During 25 years of activity, the Economic Forum, called “Eastern Davos”, has become major economic event in the region and renowned platform of discussion on wide array of issues such as economy, politics, international security and society.
The agenda of the 27th Economic Forum (5-7 September 2017) consists of more than 150 debates, divided into 12 topical blocks, such as macroeconomics, business and management, fuels and energy, new economy, international policy and security, state and reforms, the EU and its neighbours, regions, society, education and culture.
The organizer of the Economic Forum in Krynica Zdrój is the Foundation Institute for Eastern Studies. The province of Małopolska is a partner of the event and Krynica Zdrój is the Host City.
First sessions of 27th Economic Forum
The 27th Economic Forum in Krynica Zdrój was inaugurated (5th September) by a plenary session attended by the Presidents of Poland, Georgia and Macedonia: Andrzej Duda, Giorgi Margwelaszwili and George Ivanow, who took part in the panel entitled “Unfinished integration and the aspirations of European countries”. The presidents debated about the future of European integration and how to reconcile the interests of member states with the aspirations of other European countries.
The second session of the first day of the Forum in Krynica also was devoted to European economic matters. The Polish Deputy Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and panellists representing the European Investment Bank in Slovakia and the regional branch of the World Bank in India touched upon key issues for rebuilding economic growth in the European Union. The panel entitled “The role of the contemporary state in shaping innovative economy” was a plenary session organized in collaboration with the daily newspaper “Rzeczpospolita” and Deloitte. Saul Singer, an Israeli writer and journalist, was a special guest during this discussion.
The Polish Prime Minister was also a guest at the Economic forum. On the first day, the head of the Polish government took part in the special event “How to be successful in business? Polish champions.”
